What have we been up to?

Recently, the Lochardil Tennis Club took part in two competitions:

The first was the Inverness Primary Schools Tennis Competition which was held in December, with approximately 140 children taking part. It was a great day and Lochardil were pipped to the post and beaten in a very close final against Milton of Leys. Thanks to all the children who represented Lochardil.

The second was the Inter District championships for the North of Scotland. Lochardil, representing the Highlands, had six players who all had a great day and played very well. On this occasion we did not come away with any medals but the players had a good day and it was a treat to play indoors!

We have a lot of tennis players in the school so we are very excited about using the M.U.G.A to improve our skills and having a full sized tennis court to use.

Watch this space for new on the after school tennis club!

Mini Murrays in the making . . .

Mike Martin from Inverness Tennis Academy joined us for a fun afternoon of tennis on Tuesday.

Lizzy, Mike and Rory rallied with the boys and girls and played Prisoner which was watched by mums and dads!

We’ve had a lot of tennis in Lochardil the last few years, so let’s keep it up and see if Inverness can produce the next Andy Murray!!

We will hopefully be back in school after October, but if you would like any more information on when you can play please contact Lizzy.
